temperature has a great influence on the natural aging process of battery. detailed experimental data show that the battery life decreases by 10% when the temperature rises 5 ℃, so the ups battery should be designed to keep the battery temperature as high as possible. here is an introduction:
the rated operating temperature range of panasonic ups battery is 10 ℃ ~ 30 ℃ (the best temperature is 25 ℃ ± 5 ℃), too high temperature will seriously shorten the life of ups battery. all technical data are measured at rated temperature of 20 or 25 ℃. a low temperature will reduce the usable capacity of the ups battery. the absolute upper limit of ambient temperature is 55 ℃, and panasonic battery can not exceed 45 ℃ in use.
for panasonic battery, in the range of 15 ~ 35 ℃, the charging voltage does not need to be adjusted with the change of temperature; if the ambient temperature deviates from this range, the charging voltage needs to be adjusted with the change of temperature.
in the ups power supply, it is normal that the battery power of panasonic battery is reduced after long-term storage. the daily loss of electric energy of panasonic battery of ups power supply is 1-3%. the battery should be charged and used immediately. ups battery shall be "awakened" in advance for long-term storage.
